Starting a Diet

If you are interested in shedding the pounds and getting your body back in shape, you are probably contemplating starting a diet. While most people start a diet, only a small percentage of them truly succeed. If you would like to start a diet, here are some tips.

Starting a diet can be difficult. Many dieters are determined to lose weight, but their schedule and additional factors get in the way. If you are starting a diet, create a plan of action. The more prepared you are and the more you commit yourself to a diet, the higher your chances of success.

Starting a diet can also be difficult because there are so many competing diets out in the marketplace; it’s hard to find one that will work best for your specific situation. The best advice is to make sure you do plenty of research. If you will only be eating grapefruit or cabbage, you might lose weight quickly, but won’t be happy and probably won’t be able to stick with it over a period of time.

Many people don’t realize that just eating a balanced diet with a lowered caloric intake can be the best way to lose weight. It may take a little longer to lose the weight, but you won’t starve and won’t be crazy over the food you can’t eat. If you are looking to start a diet, take a look at the above suggestions.

The Healthy Diet Manifesto - 1. Everyone is on a diet. Healthy dieters choose a diet that will bring them closer to their life goals. Diet is a not dirty word. You are on a diet every day, and making it a healthy diet is not as challenging as you may think. It is not about starvation. It is not about being deprived. It is about being able to breathe in your jeans. Even more than that, it is about living your best life. It is about having integrity in your actions. 2. Healthy dieters intentionally plan their diets. [Read More...]

getting paid - I hope I'm not stepping on any toes and I haven't been doing the ministry thing as long as RLP, but here's my view on the money thing. I have a very strong sense of call. I feel like God has chosen me to use my voice and words to somehow speak God's words to people. This call simultaneously makes me want to stand and shout for joy and poop my pants from fear. So, part of the role is who I am and I would, and have, done it for free. Then someone comes along and says that you can do this thing y [Read More...]

Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.? - Aristotle If you could just pick one or two (or seven) habits to create in the next few months ? habits that will have the most impact on your life ? what would they be? I often get asked this question, because people are overwhelmed when it comes to starting positive life changes. They ask me: what one or two habits should they start with? It?s not an easy question. There are so many changes I?ve gone through, f [Read More...]

From Steve Jobs to Hayao Miyazaki it?s that thing about them which screams manically: ?I?m used to working 12 hours a day, because I like to!? Sick, sick people.
